Rosso's elegant restaurant and bar sits at the top of Kings Street, Manchester; housed within a magnificent 116 year old grade II listed building. The interior perfectly creates the atmosphere of a modern, classy, upbeat bar and dining experience. The bar offered some of the finest, most creative cocktails and drinks in the city, beautifully presented and very tasty. The whole bar and dining experience is perfectly accompanied by a live DJ on Friday nights and other various live music throughout the week. During my visit, the DJ played a variety of genres throughout the night, ranging from popular current music to some of the classics from the 80's/90's, providing something for everyone.

So, my first impressions of the restaurant were exceptional; and I'm glad to say so was the food and dining experience as well!
I went to Rosso as a party of two people. The restaurant was fully booked that night so managed to get a table rather late at 9:30 having only tried two get a booking two days prior to that friday night through the online booking system and after my visit i fully understood why it gets booked up so quickly. The menu features a large variety of Italian cuisine ranging from pastas, pizzas and spectacular steaks off of the grill. Throughout the night, the service during the evening was exceptional; quick and attentive from the moment of walking in and right through till the end of the night.
For The Love Of Food Recommendations:
I had the 'Gamberoni All Rosso' for starter and it set the bar high for the following courses. The prawns were plump, fresh and cooked to perfection served with a chilli and lime butter and side of bruschetta. The course as a whole had an exciting blend of flavours and couldn't be faulted. For the main course, I wanted to see how good the grill was, so went for the 'Bistecca', more commonly known as the sirloin steak. The steak was cooked exactly how i asked for it; both tender and juicy, served with a side of portobello mushrooms, hand cut chips and a truffle cream sauce. And as for the dessert... well I needed an excuse to make the journey back to Manchester to visit Rosso Restaurant again! With the choice of amazing food on the menu, I will no doubt be making numerous visits in the future.
