Ziniz is a fantastic Italian restaurant and bar situated in the small, but vibrant village of Bawtry. The restaurant houses a large dining space, modern bar area and a large outdoor courtyard perfect for summer lunching and drinks with friends and family. The website recognises that Ziniz was voted "one of the top Italian restaurants in the UK" by The Times newspaper; based on my visits to the restaurant, I would say this is evident. Evening dining is a great experience, with delicious food, drinks and an energetic atmosphere to top it off. This particular post is relating to my most recent visit for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Ziniz offers a quite, intimate place for lunch time dining, with a special lunch time menu offering rustic Italian sandwiches, pizzas and salads. The food was exceptional and the staff were, friendly, attentive and professional, all in all contributing to a pleasant Sunday afternoon. Ziniz restaurant hosts a number of special events throughout the year and keeps these updated on their instagram page.

For The Love Of Food Recommendations:
The 'Hot Steak' sandwich is a must!. Pieces of steak served on a ciabatta with a light wholegrain mustard and onions. The steak was cooked to perfection. Juicy, tender and complimented wonderfully by the sautéed onions and toasted ciabatta. We would also recommend trying the 'Pollo E pancetta' pizza. Cooked on a thin, crispy base, the flavours of the toppings combine to create an incredibly tasty rustic Italian pizza.
